Gahanna city council approved a 3-percent pay raise for 86 non-union workers who have gone without any raises for three years, 10TV News reported Friday.
The city said that the increase will cost more than $105,000 a year, but they will not ask for more tax money to support the raises.
City council voted 7-0 on Monday in favor of the raises, 10TV News reported.
A Gahanna spokesperson said that the raises would be retroactive to Jan.1 for 51 full-time and 35 part-time employees.
