Police were searching for more information after an early Friday morning shooting that sent one man to the hospital.
According to police, a fight broke out at Burnzie’s Tavern, located at 1662 W. Mound St. on the west side, at about 1 a.m.
Police brought in a COTA bus to hold witnesses while they analyzed the scene, 10TV’s Tino Ramos reported.
According to police, the victim,Top Channak, transported himself to Mount Carmel West hospital. He suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach.
Channak, 29, was expected to survive his injuries.
No arrests were immediately made.
