Snow To Fall On Friday Afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 3 p.m. Friday through noon Saturday for the following counties in the 10TV viewing area:

Fairfield
Fayette
Hocking
Pickaway
Pike
Ross
Scioto

Accumulating snow with reduced visibilities is possible. One to two inches of snow are likely. Some amounts could reach 3 inches.

Clouds will roll in overnight in advance of snow on Friday.

The overnight low temperature on Thursday night will drop to 24 degree, Doppler 10 chief meteorologist Chris Bradley said.

Snow will begin on Friday afternoon after 3 p.m. The high will reach 38 degrees.

An arctic front will drop temperatures into the lower 20s for the weekend with wind chill readings below zero.

Saturday will be windy and snowy and will see a high of only 21 degrees.

Accumulation of 1 to 2 inches is possible by about 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon, when the snow is expected to stop.
