A man was arrested Tuesday morning after officers said he crashed his vehicle into a police cruiser.
According to police, the man was traveling at a high rate of speed when his vehicle struck the cruiser on Sawmill Road near Federated Boulevard at about 2 a.m.
The impact sent the police cruiser forward about 300 feet, 10TV’s Tino Ramos reported.
The driver and the police officer were transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver’s identity was not immediately released.
