The Better Business Bureau warned people on Tuesday about an e-mail phishing scam that uses the name of a tax software provider.
People said that they had received e-mails from security@intuit.com or update@intuit.com asking them to click on a link to add personal information to their tax return.
The Better Business Bureau told 10TV that link would lead to a computer virus.
Anyone who receives the e-mail is asked to delete it immediately.
