A man who allegedly walked into a central Ohio courthouse with drugs in his pocket will now be the one in front of a judge, 10TV News reported on Tuesday.
Chillicothe police arrested Charles Downing on drug possession charges on Monday after he walked into the courthouse and set off a security alarm.
A security officer reported a possible object in the front pocket of Downing's jeans.
Officers said that Downing was asked to empty his pockets, and he pulled a yellow container out of his pocket that contained a marijuana cigarette.
Chillicothe police said Downing told the officer it was not his and that the jeans belonged to his son.
But police told 10TV Downing's son is a half foot shorter than him and the son's jeans would not fit Downing.
Charles Downing is scheduled to appear in court in Chillicothe on Feb. 13.
