Police said that a man and woman were in custody after they were allegedly involved in a high-speed chase that reached 90 mph early Monday.
Franklin Township officers, who were investigating a string of break-ins, stopped the van in the 4100 block of West Broad Street at about 2 a.m., 10TV’s Tino Ramos reported.
As officers waited for a drug-sniffing dog to arrive, the van drove away and continued traveling along West Broad Street, Interstates 270 and 71, and state Routes 104 and 315. Investigators said that the driver threw things out of the window during the pursuit.
Investigators arrested the driver of the van, Adam Garber, at about 2 a.m., after the chase ended in front of the Bob Evans restaurant, located at 1455 Olentangy River Rd, Ramos reported.
The chase prompted police to close all lanes of state Route 315, 10TV’s Tino Ramos reported.
No one was hurt during the chase, Ramos reported.
Garber’s female passenger was also taken into custody. Her identity was not immediately released.
