A Ross County man and his mother are charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty, accused of letting several dogs starve, 10TV News reported on Monday.
Authorities seized two pit bulls and turned them over to the Ross County Humane Society.
Lola Runge, 45, had just gotten out of jail and said her dogs had been staying with her son.
Richard Runge, 18, told police he fed the dogs until a couple weeks ago, when he ran out of dog food and could not afford more.
