A new promotional project in Canal Winchester was created to tout the city's hometown charm to attract new business to the area, 10TV's Kevin Landers reported on Sunday.
The promotional video, named "Destination Canal Winchester," said that the video highlighted the people and places that make the city unique, Mayor Mike Ebert said.
"We've been a quiet little community," Ebert said. "For so many years, we thought there's a lot of people who didn't think Canal Winchester existed."
In the past 10 years, census figures showed Canal Winchester grew by more than 3,000 people.
Ebert said with growth, came new demands, Landers reported.
"Our residents have always wanted newer and bigger restaurants and national chains," said Ebert. "We'd like to have more businesses move in."
