The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office will be ready when the bad weather returns, 10TV News reported on Friday.

The sheriff's office obtained three military humvees through a Department of Defense reutilization program.

Sheriff’s officials said that they plan to use the vehicles to drive when the weather gets bad.

They will also be used in off-road situations.
