A girl’s fight with cancer is getting national attention, 10TV News reported on Thursday.

Madeline Richardson has been battling neuroblastoma for more than a year, and her mother made a video documenting her 7-year-old daughter’s journey with the cancer.

The American Red Cross put the video on YouTube and sent it to all its officers across the country, 10TV’s Justin Moss reported.

The message in the video is about donating blood, since Richardson relied on dozens of blood transfusions during her treatment.

“I just wanted people to understand that it was very challenging, and we are very appreciative of what these donors have done to make our year easier,” Richardson’s mother, Carol Richardson, said.

Madeline Richardson currently is wrapping up her treatments at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
