Columbus saw a spike in hotel reservations, meetings, conferences and sporting events in 2011, according to a report by Experience Columbus on Monday.
The report showed the hospitality industry in Columbus has been recovering from a downtrodden economy.
More than 600 meetings and conferences were held in Columbus last year, 10TV News reported.
The report also said that hotels saw nearly a 6-percent increase in reservations in 2011.
