Police searched for a bandit behind a string of armed robberies on Friday night.

A Keller Williams Realty accountant was closing the office when she was approached by a man wearing all black, 10TV's Jason Frazer reported.

"Someone came up and grabbed her door, and had a gun and asked for her purse," Kathy Petrohilos, a Keller Williams realtor, said. "It's something you don't expect here in our hometown."

The man ran away but Petrohilos said the robbery surprised her.

"All of the transactions take place with the title companies, so it's not like we have a cash register," Petrohilos said.

Police said the alleged robber's actions match three other robberies in Hilliard, including one at a Subway restaurant, Frazer reported.

"He just demanded money and told us this wasn't a game and he told Andrew he had 10 seconds to give him the money. That's all he said," Subway employee Jonathan Blair said.

"I looked at John, he was standing right here, and I was like, is this a joke?" Subway employee Andrew Wilson said.

"We had our hands up. He still had the gun on us and walked backwards out the store," Blair said.

Police said they were also investigating a robbery at the Starliner Diner and another Subway on Cemetery Road, Frazer said. It's unclear if the robberies are connected to the same person, but witnesses provided similar descriptions.

Police are offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of a person accused in the robberies, Frazer said.
