Olentangy Orange Middle School officials on Friday said that they were conducting an investigation into reports that a student brought pictures of a male organ to school on an iPod.
According to a parent whose daughter said she witnessed the pictures, a seventh-grade boy showed the images to a group of female students.
The parent said that the school was slow to give answers, 10 Investigates’ Paul Aker reported.
“We had an incident in which a student shared some inappropriate material,” principal Brian Lidle said in a statement to 10 Investigates. “We are conducting a thorough investigation and speaking with the families of the students involved.
A police report said that the devices involved were an iPod and a cell phone.
The report also said that a crime “may have occurred.”
Lidle said that he had contacted the involved families personally but did not plan to alert other parents.
