Ohio State senior point guard Samantha Prahalis was named the Big Ten player of the week in recognition of her performance last week in wins over No. 20 Nebraska and Illinois, the conference announced Tuesday.

Prahalis averaged 23.5 points, 7.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals as Ohio State extended its winning streak to four and climbed to No. 9 in both major polls.

She nearly finished with a double-double against Nebraska Thursday, scoring 19 points with nine assists, adding a pair of steals and a block in 40 minutes of play.

Then, in the win over Illinois Sunday, Prahalis poured in 28 points, including eight straight in the final minutes, to go along with six assists, five rebounds and two steals while playing all 40 minutes once again. She was 3 of 5 from 3-point range in the victory.
