Police: Man Attacks COTA Bus Driver

A man faced charges of disrupting public services on Tuesday after police that said he attacked a COTA bus driver.

Charles Bosley Jr. allegedly attacked the driver on Sunday night near East Broad Street and South Hamilton Road, 10TV’s Danielle Elias reported.

According to surveillance video, Bosley allegedly got on the bus and asked the driver to turn the bus around.

The driver said that she would not reroute the bus, and Bosley walked towards the back of the bus, Elias reported.

Video showed that minutes later, as the bus approached East Broad Street at South Hamilton Road, the man rushed towards the bus driver and allegedly attacked her

Surveillance video showed the driver yelling for help, and passengers rushing to help her.

According to court records, Bosley has five felony charges dating back to the 1980s.

A COTA spokesperson said that the bus driver was not injured and was back at work, Elias reported.
