A man was charged with drunken driving Thursday after driving onto the lawn of a Ohio State Highway Patrol post.

Investigators said that John Wallace, of Lancaster, allegedly drove a 1978 Chevrolet truck the wrong way on a U.S. Route 33 entrance ramp before driving onto the lawn of the Lancaster Highway Patrol post Thursday night.

The Ohio State Highway patrol said that Wallace, 68, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Wallace allegedly came to the post to pick up his son, who had been arrested for drunken driving earlier.

Wallace was incarcerated at the Fairfield County Jail. This is his 13th drunken driving charge.

He was also charged with driving under suspension.
