Man Allegedly Commits Second Slaying In One Week

Investigators said that the man they believed to be responsible for a Tuesday morning slaying was charged in the shooting death of another man three days earlier.

Police said that they were searching Tuesday for 19-year-old Anthony Wadsworth in connection with the shooting death of Dennis Kiser, 27.

Investigators were called to a report of a robbery located at 5723 Joshua Place shortly after 4 a.m., 10TV’s Tino Ramos reported.

When they arrived, police found that Kiser had been shot. He was pronounced dead about 4:30 a.m.

Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots followed by screaming, Ramos reported.

Wadsworth was charged in connection with the Saturday slaying of Wayne Pender located at 2393 ½ W. Broad St. Wadsworth was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated murder in Pender’s death.

A description of Wadsworth was not immediately released.
