The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office on Monday said that they arrested two people they believed were responsible for a morning robbery.

Investigators said that Anthony Morgan and Jennifer Barnette were arrested after they allegedly robbed the Corner Market store on U.S. Route 42 at about 9:30 a.m.

According to employees, a man entered the store and allegedly demanded money and implied he had a gun, 10TV News reported.

Investigators said that a bystander witnessed the man leaving the store and get into a car.

“Deputies acted quickly, responding to the incident location within minutes of the call, but we must also give credit to the alert eyewitness who watched the suspect flee the location and enter a vehicle parked south of the scene,” Delaware Sheriff Walter Davis said.

Deputies stopped Morgan and Barnette on Liberty Road north of Hyatts Road.

Morgan, 29, is charged with aggravated robbery, and Barnette, 27, is charged with complicity to commit aggravated robbery.
