A mother who was forced to sit and watch robbers ransack her home shared what she called her terrifying experience Wednesday.

Asia Perry said five people forced their way into her home on Ravine Bluff Court on Jan. 3, 10TV’s Jason Frazer reported.

The mother said she and her 3-year-old son were inside the home at the time.

At one point Perry said that she tried to call 9-1-1 but the thieves slapped the phone out of her hand.

“One of the guys said ‘I wouldn't do that if I were you. That's not going to be good for your behalf. You don't know what’s going to happen to you,’” said Perry.

According to Perry, two men blocked the front and back entrances while three other people sifted through the house.

“I didn't know they didn't have a weapon. All I know is that there were three guys who busted in the door. I’m not going to stop them,” Perry said.

Perry said that the men took several items including laptops, televisions and cash.
