A man was in jail on Wednesday after being arrested for allegedly burning his 6-month-old stepson with a hair dryer.
According to police, Yerion Williams was accused of burning the baby several weeks ago.
Williams, 23, was charged on Tuesday with child endangerment, 10TV’s Ashleigh Barry reported.
The 6-month-old was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital with second-degree burns to his face.
A woman who said that she was William’s mother said that the incident was an “unfortunate accident” and that it was not intentional, Barry reported.
The baby’s name and condition were not immediately released.
