Pilot Who Died In Vinton Co. Plane Crash Was A Columbus Attorney

The pilot who crashed in Vinton County on Saturday was pronounced dead on Sunday, according to The Ohio State University Medical Center.

Kevin Byers, 54, of Baltimore, Ohio, crashed a single-engine plane near the Vinton County Airport at about 2 p.m. on Saturday.

According to Byers' ex-wife, he was a Columbus attorney who represented doctors and patients.

His two passengers, Eudora Byers, 78, of Mansfield, and Siobhan Reynolds, 50, of New Mexico, were pronounced dead at the crash scene, 10TV News reported.

Eudora Byers was Kevin Byers' mother, and Reynolds was his girlfriend, 10TV News' Kevin Landers reported.

Byers' ex-wife, who did not want to go on camera, said that Byers flew to Mansfield to pick up his mother.

Officials said that they are still investigating the cause of the crash.
