A cat was recovering on Friday after being shot with an arrow.
A good Samaritan found a cat wandering in Delaware County with an arrow through its body on Thursday.
The person took the female cat to the Delaware County Humane Society, where a doctor removed the arrow, 10TV’s Andrea Cambern reported.
The cat did not have a collar or microchip, and authorities have not been alerted, the veterinarian, Kim West, said.
“I had a call into Ohio State, and their staff is amazing,” West said. “Literally, they were on the phone with me while I did the procedure, so literally we did it together.”
West said that she took that cat home with her Thursday night.
“If any animal has a shot at recovering from trauma, it's a cat,” West said. “They're amazing healers. Hence the nine lives.”
