Dublin officials approved legislation Monday to open a technology-focused entrepreneurial center.
TechDEC is scheduled to open on Metro Place South in Dublin in February, 10TV News reported.
According to the City of Dublin, TechDEC will open in Metro Data Center LCC building, located at 565 Metro Place South off of Franz Road.
Organizers said that the new incubator would provide a combination of business coaching and high technology access.
Niles Overly, chairman and chief operating officer of Metro Data Center, said that he thinks TechDEC will be the perfect place for people to come and work together.
"This new generation, Generation Y … they're heavily into the internet (and) social networking," Overly said. "That's why this is such a fabulous place for them to come every day and collaborate."
Overly said dozens of businesses have shown interest in relocating to TechDEC when it opens.
