Police were called to west Columbus Monday on reports of a suspicious package.

Investigators were on the scene at 5365 Bridle Creek Way at about 5 p.m. Monday after a father and son stumbled upon a suspicious ammo can while hiking in the woods, 10TV’s Jason Frazer reported.

The bomb squad and fire fighters detonated the ammo can and found a book, toy robot, online game and a geo-caching item, Frazer said.

Police said the investigation is clear.
