Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller was named the Big Ten's freshman of the week, the conference announced Monday.

Miller recorded career-highs in total offense, completions and passing yards in Ohio State's 40-34 loss to Michigan.

The award was the second of the season for Miller.

Last week, Ohio State's Ryan Shazier was named the Big Ten's freshman of the week.

Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson was named the Big Ten's co-offensive player of the week.  The junior accounted for five touchdowns and more than 330 yards of total offense, becoming just the fourth player in NCAA history to gain 2,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing in a season twice in his career
