Some shoppers slept through the elements to get a new iPhone4 on Friday.
Though it was rainy, cold and dark shoppers waited outside the Apple Store at the Easton Town Center, 10TV's Tino Ramos reported.
Some, like Cheryl Jarrels, arrived as early as Thursday.
"Since it sold out so quickly, I'd figure this would sell out quickly in the stores," said Jarrels.
The moment finally arrived at about 8 a.m. when the doors to the store opened to the dozens of people who wanted to be the first to own an iPhone 4, Ramos reported.
One iPhone owner said the gadget did not fail to please.
"It's very cool the way it actually comes up with a quick response," said Aaron Stevens, an iPhone owner. "It's thoughtful and really intuitive."
The phone touts upgrades that include new voice control software, a new 8-megapixel camera and a 1080P HD recorder with stabilization, Ramos reported.
Apple said it expects to sell 3 million iPhones before the weekend is over.
