Police on Sunday said that a woman who was shot on Saturday was one of two people suspected in a southeast side robbery that led to the shooting.
According to investigators, the woman and a 16-year-old boy attempted to rob several people who were inside a Lilley Avenue apartment late Saturday night.
Neighbors said that at least 12 shots were fired.
"Everything must have happened really quickly because by the time we got out here, the police were already here," said Angel Johnson, a neighbor.
Police said that four people were shot.
"At first, I thought it was firecrackers," said Sherri Johnson, a neighbor. "I don't know what was really happening until I (saw) all of the police and then they start(ed) taking all of the bodies out."
Talia West and Devon Jackson, 16, were named suspects in the case by investigators. West, 21, was in critical condition at Grant Medical Center, 10TV's Jason Frazer reported.
Jackson was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and felonious assault, police said.
According to investigators, Eric Hines, 31; Yero Martin, 30; and Chaz Gipson, 20, who were all inside the home at the tmie of the shooting, were all hospitalized but were expected to survive.
Police said that they were not sure whether the victims were specifically targeted.
Investigators said that they believe more people were involved in the robbery.
