Last month, the YWCA was overloaded with about 90 families, but in the last several weeks, the number climbed to more than 110.

The YWCA said it is in need of supplies, 10TV's Ashleigh Barry reported on Friday.

"These are families that have literally walked in with no shoes on their feet, no uniforms, maybe one set of clothes," said Ginger Young, of the YWCA.

The center's supply room was only about a quarter full with school supplies.  When the center is serving about a 150 students, the need for donations is greater, Barry reported.

The Shelter is looking for donations such as:

Backpacks
Diapers
Formula
Gift Cards (Walmart, Kohl's, Target, etc)
New School Uniforms
Pack And Plays
School Supplies
