Airfare deals are available, but they are only expected to last until Fourth of July weekend.
Southwest Airlines announced on Wednesday a 72-hour sale on flights, Consumer 10's Kurt Ludlow reported.
The airline is celebrating its 40th anniversary with fares out of Columbus for as low as $40 each way.

A travel businesswoman said there are more deals than that.
"The best pricing right now, Florida (and) Mexico, you get some really good deals," said travel agent Willa Owen. (Las) Vegas is really good. I priced California the other day and was surprised how good the fares were to California."
Owens said the Caribbean is also popular -- and the Bahamas are affordable this time of year.
"You can fly, you know easily to get to Nassau. It's pretty reasonably priced if they want to get away for a quick weekend," Owens said.
However, the deals now come with a warning. Airfares during the July 4 holiday weekend were expected to jump 10 percent by Thursday.
"They're trying to make more money. And once one airline raises the prices the other airlines follow," Owens said.
For the Southwest deal, you must fly between August 23 and November 16, and certain blackout dates apply. The cheapest Southwest deals were on Saturday and midweek, Ludlow reported.
