A Warren, Ohio, woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Tuesday after pleading guilty to charges connected to shooting her ex-fiance'.
Melissa Stredney admitted that she shot Jamie Hart after he called off their wedding, 10TV News reported.
Stredney, 30, pleaded guilty to felonious assault and tampering with evidence charges.

The plea agreement was the end of six long months for Hart, who on Dec. 14, was confronted by Stredney in the parking lot of NCO Financial Systems on Frantz Road, in Dublin.
As Hart arrived for work, Stredney tried to force him into her car at gunpoint and shot him in the face when he refused.
"I did refuse getting into the car and that's when the gun went off," Hart said. "Then I kind of remember falling face forward onto the ground."
The blast destroyed Hart's left eye and part of his forehead. He has had four surgeries.
"It's something I think about all the time," Hart said.
In court on Tuesday, Stredney, who was a former teaching assistant at The Ohio University, never apologized.
"She never said, 'sorry,'" Hart said. "She never acknowledged what she did. She made it all about her and not her actions."
Hart, 30, expected that it will take at least another year before he will recover physically. His emotional scars may never heal.
"I did take a shot at point blank range, so I'm probably doing a lot better than most people would expect," Hart said.
According to Hart, he will need at least one more surgery and plans to spend next year recovering.
He said that someday he may get retrained and enter the medical field as a way of thanking the staff Grant Medical Center for the care he received.
