Drive-By Shooting Leaves Woman Paralyzed

Police said that Regina Mitchell was peeling potatoes on a porch when a bullet struck her.

A drive-by shooting on the city's east side has left a woman paralyzed.

The shooting happened Wednesday at about 10:30 p.m. at an apartment complex on East 7th Avenue, 10TV News reported.

Police said that Regina Mitchell, 57, was peeling potatoes on a porch when a bullet struck her.

Mitchell was transported to Grant Medical Center after the shooting.  Investigators said the bullet left her paralyzed, 10TV News reported.

No arrests were made.

No other injuries were reported.
