Blown Transformer Knocks Out Power To 2K On East Side

About 2,000 American Electric Power customers on the city's east side lost electricity early Monday morning because of a blown transformer.

The electricity problems were first reported at about 5:30 a.m.   Most of the outages were located in the area of Hamilton and Refugee roads, 10TV News reported.

According to police, some traffic lights in the area were not working.

It was not clear when power would be restored.
