An investigation continued on Wednesday after a woman told police that she came home and found her husband shot to death.
Billy Small, 70, was found dead on the couch of his North Brinker Avenue home at about 4 p.m. Tuesday, 10TV's Ashleigh Barry reported.
Small's wife said her husband had been shot in the head.
According to police, bullet casings were found outside on the home's driveway. Investigators also said there were no signs of forced entry to the home, Barry reported.
Anthony Martin, a neighbor, told 10TV that Small was retired and known to collect expensive cars. Although police did not speculate on whether that could be a motive in the slaying, Martin feared that may have had something to do with the shooting.
"I was just curious if someone broke in and did this, or it was something more than that," Martin said.
Investigators were expected to conduct an additional search of the home.
They were also awaiting results of an autopsy, Barry reported.
