The homeless Columbus man whose voice made him an Internet sensation is headed to rehab after an appearance on the Dr. Phil show, but he may also have to testify in a central Ohio courtroom.
The subpoena for Ted Williams concerns a woman he calls his girlfriend, 10TV's Ashleigh Barry reported on Wednesday.
According to the Madison Press, Williams was a passenger in his girlfriend's car in May when she was accused of a drug charge.
During an appearance on the Dr. Phil show which airs on Thursday, Williams was open about his relationship with the woman.
While his family is concerned that she will hamper his recovery from alcohol and drugs, he expressed concern over ending the relationship.

"I don't know if it's humanly possible to say, 'Hey baby, I made it and I can't use you in my life and goodbye,'" Williams said.
Williams also addressed claims by his family that he is still consuming alcohol. He said he is still drinking, despite saying earlier that he was sober.
Williams said he is voluntarily checking himself into rehab.
"Like it's a process of choosing the right people," Williams said. "I think it would be an equal process to rid myself of the wrong."
Williams has committed to 90 days of rehab, but his court date is scheduled for Feb. 11, Barry reported.
It was not clear where he would attend rehab, or if he will appear in Madison County in person.
