Police said that they suspected alcohol was suspected in a crash early Saturday that killed a man and left three others injured.
Investigators said that the crash occurred at 2:23 a.m. along East Broad Street on the Far East side.
According to police, Phillip Tatum, 21, of Columbus, died after the car he was riding in was struck head-on by a car driven by George Patterson, of Reynoldsburg.
Patterson was heading east on East Broad Street when it went into oncoming traffic and struck a car driven by Fabion Billingsley, of Columbus.
Billingsley and a passenger, Dawone Billingsley, were transported to hospitals along with Patterson. All three were in serious condition, police said.
Tatum was pronounced dead at the scene, according to investigators.
