Ohio State will head to New Orleans to play in the Sugar Bowl against Arkansas on Jan. 4.
The game was announced Sunday night after the final Bowl Championship Series standings were released.
Ohio State received an at-large bid since it was No. 6 in the BCS standings and will take on a Razorbacks team that finished No. 8 in the standings. Both teams were at-large selections.

Arkansas (10-2) had wins over South Carolina, Mississippi and LSU in Southeastern Conference play. Its losses came against SEC rivals Alabama and Auburn.
The Buckeyes (11-1) will play in the Sugar Bowl for the first time since the 1998 season when they defeated Texas A&M. Ohio State last played in the Louisiana Superdome in the 2007 national championship game when it lost to LSU.
Ohio State broke a three-game bowl losing streak when it defeated Oregon in the Rose Bowl last Jan. 1. The Buckeyes are 0-8 all-time in bowl games against SEC schools and, most recently, lost to Florida and LSU in back-to-back BCS Championship games. Ohio State's all-time record against the SEC is 3-11-1.
The Buckeyes finished in a three-way tie for first in the Big Ten with Wisconsin and Michigan State. The Badgers finished higher than Ohio State in the final BCS standings and will play in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1 against Texas Christian.
Michigan State wasn't so lucky. The Spartans will play Alabama in the Capital One Bowl on New Year's Day against Alabama.
The Sugar Bowl kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 4. The game will be televised by ESPN.
