Strickland, Kasich To Square Off In First Debate

Gov. Ted Strickland and Republican challenger John Kasich will go head-to-head Tuesday night in the first of two planned gubernatorial debates.

The event, held at COSI in downtown Columbus,  will be moderated by 10TV News anchor Jerry Revish.

The debate begins at 8 p.m. and will be aired on 10TV.  If you're not near a television, you can watch the event on 10TV.com.

Kasich, ahead in polls, is a former U.S. representative , Fox News commentator and Lehman Brothers managing director. He said that he would bring a more business-friendly approach to creating jobs in the state.
     
Strickland is a former U.S. representative from Appalachia who was elected governor in 2006.

He said that despite high unemployment Ohio's business climate is improving.
