"They range from 6 to 16, so I'm in every department all over the place," McCardle said.
Dee Holleran, director of marketing with the Mall At Tuttle Crossing, said the clothes children love this year are some of the same styles that were popular last year.
"We have a lot of style trends that have continued from last year," Holleran said. "We talked about the buffalo plaid; the graphic tees are still big."
McCardle's son, Corey McCardle, shows off the graphic shirt, which goes well the popular "skater" look.
For girls, it is all about jeggings, a combination pant that combines the word jeans and leggings.
The pants are versatile and can be layered with dresses and tops, Nova reported.
Phoebe McCardle, 9, showed them off with another hot trend, the vest.
Another popular style this year is wearing a lot accessories, like throwing this belt on with almost anything.
"Some of the belts we're seeing for boys are unbelievable, with splattered paint," Holleran said. "Brads, and studs and metal are huge for men, women and boys and girls."
Comfort also comes into play with sporty looks for girls and boys, displaying their Buckeye spirit.
A new trend in footwear is Switch Flops, sandals that change color using Velcro pieces. It allows for different looks with just one pair of shoes.
