Shooting Leaves 15-Year-Old Dead

A teenager who was shot late Wednesday night on the city's north side has died from his wounds.

Daequan Nix, 15, was found lying in front of a home in the 1400 block of North Fourth Street at about 11:40 p.m., 10TV's Tino Ramos reported.

He had been shot in the back, police said.

Nix was transported to The Ohio State University Medical Center, where he later died.

As of Thursday morning, no arrests had been made in connection with the slaying, Ramos reported.

Police were not sure what led up to the shooting.
