Hundreds of shoppers stood in line on a cold, wet Thursday night at the Prime Outlet Mall in Jeffersonville.  They were waiting, in their pajamas, for stores to open at the Prime oulets Jeffersonville outlets in Fayette County for the Midnight Madness Pajama Jam.

"We had to come, it happens once a year," one shopper told 10TV's Kevin Landers.

Some of the first people in line were treated to gift bags with coupons, merchandise, and for five lucky shoppers, $100 gift cards.

The outlet mall opened its parking lot earlier, to make it safer for customers this year, Landers reported.

Stores around central Ohio are opening earlier to take advantage of what is known as Black Friday.
