The Pickerington Central High School band will be doing plenty of traveling over the next few weeks, 10TV News reported.

The marching band will perform in Thursday's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The 210 student members will leave tomorrow but as soon as they return from New York, they will begin preparing for a trip out west.

The band will also perform in the Rose Parade on New Year's Day.

The band was invited to both and director Mike Sewell said they could not turn either opportunity down.

"The issue is which one do you choose? Those are the sorts of things where if you're chosen and don't take it, they may not get invited again.  They're once in a lifetime things," Sewell said.
