A Shelby man is organizing a salute to Ohio's Vietnam veterans, 10TV News reported Saturday.

Bill Staton planned a "welcome home" parade for Vietnam veterans and their families on Saturday in Shelby.

"Welcome home these soldiers that never had the welcome they deserved so many years ago.  It's time that we gave it to them," Staton said.  "We're wanting to gather Vietnam veterans from all 88 counties and just make it a great celebration for those soldiers that were on foreign soil."

The parade begins at 2 p.m. on Grand Boulevard.  The celebration will include an F-16 flyover.
