Money To Help, Disabled, Low Income Seniors Fix Up Homes

Dorothy Wolford is among 50 homeowners and their families who will share in a $62,000 grant.

The money will help low-income homeowners and their families and the disabled fix up their homes so they don't have to move or live in disrepair, 10TV News reported.

The money allowed Wolford to bring in workers to repair a front window, fix a leak in the bathroom, put in smoke alarms and put up hand rails on the front and back porch.

"I had a hip replaced need another one now but without those hand holds I couldn't get out the front port, it really helped," Wolford said.
