Investigators said Wednesday that they could not determine the cause of a trailer fire that killed four children in western Ohio and closed the case.

The Champaign County sheriff and prosecutor announced their findings.

Officials said that the fire in the western Ohio village of St. Paris may have been caused by electrical wiring or an electric heater.  But an engineering firm brought in to assist the investigation was unable to definitively determine the cause.

Prosecutor Nick Selvaggio said that there is no evidence that the fire was intentionally set.
