The NCAA Men's Basketball tournament is coming to Columbus.

Ohio State and Nationwide Arena will host first and second round games in 2012, the university announced Monday.

As the host institution, Ohio State will not be eligible to play in Columbus should it qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

Early rounds of the 2012 tournament will be played March 16 and 18 in Columbus.  Eight teams will play in four first round games, with four teams advancing to play on March 18.

The winners of those two games will advance to NCAA regional competition.

Ohio State last hosted first and second round games in 2007.  Nationwide Arena first hosted first and second round games in 2004.

The 2012 Final Four will be played in the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.
