Authorities in Florida have found no evidence to support a runaway teenager's claims that she was threatened by her father after converting from Islam to Christianity, according to court documents unsealed on Monday.
Rifqa Bary, 17, fled her New Albany home earlier this summer.
After being located in Florida, Bary said she feared her father would kill her because she changed religions.
According to a Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation, no credible threats against the teenager have been discovered in Ohio or Florida.
Documents detailing the investigation were sealed by a Florida judge earlier this month.
Bary remains in foster care in Florida, where a judge will decide who gets custody of her.
Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland weighed in on the case last week, saying the teenager should be returned to the state.
He said Ohio agencies were equipped to handle the case.
