Central Ohio Crime Stoppers on Tuesday released a poster of a dozen riders who have been banned from riding Central Ohio Transit Authority buses.

According to COTA, all 12 of the riders are banned because of incidents that occurred multiple times inside the vehicles.

Some of those banned were arrested for disorderly conduct, 10TV's Tanisha Mallett reported.

Out of the 12 people on the list, one person was permanently banned from riding buses.

A COTA spokesman told 10TV News that it has banned riders in the past and wanted to release the poster to point out its most common offenders.

Ridership levels increased as gas prices rose last year and, according to COTA, it wants to make the buses safer for all passengers.
