A cemetery located just south of downtown is still trying to recover from the wind storm that tore through central Ohio earlier this month.

Damaged trees and debris were still visible Wednesday across Green Lawn Cemetery, 11 days after the storm.

The cemetery's general manager some of the damaged trees pose danger to people visiting the 160-year-old cemetery, 10TV News reported.

"A lot of these trees were here when they purchased the original property of the cemetery," said general manager Linda Burkey. "It's really sad to see the trees that fell. They are part of our history, too."

Burkey said about 100 trees fell in the storm, and some of them were over 200 years old.

Burkey said damage to the cemetery was estimated at about $100,000, 10TV News reported.
