A woman who admitted to helping her teenage son escape from authorities was sentenced to three years of community control on Tuesday.
Darlene Starks pleaded guilty to a felony charge of obstruction of justice last month, 10TV News reported.
A court employee was driving Starks' son, Brandon, to a dental appointment in June when police said two armed men helped him escape.
Darlene Starks originally denied any involvement in his escape.
If Darlene Starks breaks any conditions of her sentence, she will be sent to jail for three years, 10TV News reported.
Police continued to search for Brandon Starks.
